Acer palmatum Phoenix is a deciduous garden acer that produces striking colourful foliage on notable stems of bright red with distinctive green veins. The leaves of this plant darken slightly to a reddish pink during summer, before developing variegated colours of yellow and orange, giving off a vibrant influx of warm autumn colour for the latter part of the year. This japanese maple prefers to be planted in full sun, but can easily adapt to a partially shaded position in your garden.
