Acer palmatum Osakazuki is an extremely attractive deciduous shrub, ideal for smaller gardens that allow them to fully stand out, or as a colourful part of a much larger garden. The leaves present as seven-lobed leaves with a bright green colour that lasts throughout spring and summer. During autumn is where it really has a chance to shine, with the leaves turning a wild blaze of scarlet, providing a wonderful burst of colour at the tail end of the year. This japanese maple prefers to be planted in a sheltered position, prolonged exposure to full sun could damage the plant so some shelter is preferred.
