A spreading evergreen conifer with dense, scale-like golden-green foliage on arching branches, which gains richer hues of green in shaded sites. The Juniperus ‘Aurea’ is a reasonably fast-growing plant and may require some pruning to maintain its shape, or left to grow and spread, giving it a cascading effect when planted in beds, edges or sloped banks. Plant in any well-drained soil and keep in full or partial sun. Drought tolerant once established. Survives well in poorer soils. Avoid overwatering and constantly wet soils as this may cause root damage.
