Cornus canadensis, known as creeping dogwood, is a low-growing, herbaceous perennial that forms a mat of ovate, green leaves. In late spring, the plant produces small white flowers, followed by bunches of red berries in early Autumn. This plant is perfect as groundcover or to fill any gaps at the front of a border. Plant in moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil, preferably neutral to acidic. Position in a partially shaded spot. Well suited as groundcover in a border or woodland garden.
