Agapanthus 'Fireworks', sometimes known more commonly as the African Lily or Lily of the Nile, is a somewhat compact, clumping-forming perennial plant with very distinctive blooms growing in rich, dense clusters above the strap-shaped, mid-green foliage which grows in mounds beneath tall, rigid stems bearing trumpet-shaped, slightly nodding flowers with bicoloured purple and white petals. A slightly smaller variety of the species perfectly suited for container planting or as part of flowering shrub beds.Plant in moist, fertile, well-drained soils and keep in full sun in a sheltered position. Frost protection such as mulching is highly advised if planting outdoors.
