Nepeta Six Hills Giant is a vigorous, herbaceous, perennial plant with a very free flowering, mound forming habit. Its foliage is topped by long, grey-green stems with showy spikes of lavender-blue flowers and purple calyces. The long-lasting blooms will start to appear in Spring and will flower right through to Autumn. This tall catmint variety will form a dense mound that looks wonderful in the middle of a sunny border and alongside other blue or silver-leaved plants. This beautiful plant is noted for its billowing, aromatic foliage, the fresh or dried leaves make a refreshing and therapeutic tea which is also high in vitamin C. The plant may be cut back before first flowering to promote a more compact size and shear the flower spikes after flowering to encourage a second flowering.
