Phoenix Canariensis, also known as the Canary Island Date Palm, is a bushy, tree-like palm with a unique, stout trunk and deep green leaves. The leaves will grow up to 5 meters in length and be divided into many linear leaflets. Creamy, yellow flowers bloom throughout summer, followed by reddish-yellow fruits in autumn. This tall palm can reach heights of over 12m, and should be planted in well-drained, loamy soil, in partial shade where it will grow best. This leafy giant will bring a piece of tropical paradise to any garden.
