Gooseberry Ribes Uva-Crispa Captivator is a vigorous fruit shrub, perfect if you’d like to grow your own gooseberries in the garden. This is a deciduous plant, so mid-green, lobed leaves bloom in spring, turning yellow-orange in autumn, before dying off over the winter months and returning each spring. Small, white flowers bloom from march until April, followed by juicy, plump, deep red gooseberries which are ready for harvest in midsummer. Plant Gooseberry Ribes Uva-Crispa Captivator in moist, well-drained chalky, loamy or sandy soil in a shaded or partially shaded area in the garden.
