Commonly known as evergreen candytuft, 'Pink Ice' is a beautiful, low-growing perennial that forms a dense, spreading cushion of dark green, leathery leaves. It is highly prized for its clusters of delicate, pale pinkish-lilac flowers with darker pink centres, offering a softer colour alternative to the traditional stark white varieties. This plant is incredibly resilient and thrives when planted in full sun with highly well-drained, slightly chalky or gritty soil. To maintain a neat, compact shape and prevent the centre from becoming woody, lightly shear the plant back by about a third immediately after the flowering period finishes.
