Often considered one of the finest lilacs ever bred, 'Beauty of Moscow' features highly fragrant, complex flowers that open from pale pinkish-lilac buds into stunning, fully double, pure white blooms. The contrast between the pink buds and the white open flowers gives the large panicles a uniquely delicate, pearlescent appearance. Lilacs require full sun and prefer neutral to slightly alkaline, well-drained soil to bloom profusely. Because they flower on the previous year's wood, it is crucial to prune them immediately after the flowers fade; delay pruning, and you risk cutting off the buds developing for the following year's display.
