Artemisia Silver Queen is grown entirely for its striking, highly aromatic, metallic-silver foliage rather than its visually insignificant flowers. It is an incredibly aggressive, fast-running perennial that uses underground rhizomes to rapidly expand its territory and create a brilliant, reflective carpet. Plant this silver wonder in poor, dry soil and consider sinking a physical barrier into the earth to contain its rapid lateral spread. Allow the dirt to dry out significantly to intensify the white hairs on the leaves, and ruthlessly chop the entire structure to the ground if it ever starts looking ragged.
