Description:A solvent‐borne, bituminous black paint for external use. When dry it forms an odourless and taint‐free bitumenfilm.UsesBond It BITUMEN PAINT is used for the protection of ferrousand non-ferrous metals, concrete, roofing felt, fibre/cement,corrugated iron, asphalt and wood, against water. Reducescorrosion and decay.PreparationSurfaces must be clean, dry and free from grease, oiland any loose material. Remove anyorganic growth using Bond It MOULD STOP.Rust should be wire brushed te remove asmuch as possible, any residue must beprimed with a rust inhibitor primer.Surfaces to be treated must be completelyfree of water before applying BITUMENPAINT.ApplicationBITUMEN PAINT is supplied ready for use and should notrequire thinning. Apply at least two coats by brush, roller orspray allowing each coat to dry before applying the nextcoat. Note: At very low service temperatures the coating willbecome less flexible, while at high temperatures it becomessoft and less resistant to degradation by the environment,and will ultimately flow.Drying TimeApproximately 6 hours depending on drying conditions.Limitations• Do not use in areas where subsequent solvent contact islikely.• Do not use for potable drinking water tanks.• Allow sufficient drying time between coats.• Bitumen paint may bleed through any paints subsequentlyapplied over it. Apply a primer recommended by the paintmanufacturer before overpainting.
