This mix is is packed with both protein and calcaium, which are both viatal to birds and wildlife.Chubby Dried Mealworms are packed with a whopping 53% protein and 28% essential fats that are vital to nestlings and breeding birds throughout the year. Mealworms are a nutritious snack that will attract blackbirds, robins, wrens, starlings, nuthatches, sparrows, and any other peckish wild birds to your garden! A variety of other animals love Chubby Mealworms including reptiles, fish, budgies, sugar gliders, and many more.Chubby Dried Black Soldier Fly Larvae are comparable to dried mealworms but have a higher calcium value. They have 23 to 61 times more calcium than other commonly fed feeder insects and naturally feature a well-balanced calcium-phosphorus ratio. Research has shown that natural feed with balanced Ca:P ratios increases animal health and contributes to stronger bones and shiny feathersCalcium is especially important for laying birds such as chickens. Lack of calcium can result in poor laying, soft shells and can cause behavour problems such as egg eating as the chicken tries to recoup the much-needed calcium.
