From The Glasgow Distillery Co., comes the Glasgow 1770 Triple Distilled single malt Scotch. The mix of concerto malted barley and water from the pure Loch Katrine is slowly distilled three times in traditional copper pot stills. Doing so in order to remove oiler compounds from the liquid, the resulting whisky is an incredibly light and smooth drink. Aged in a combination of ex-bourbon and virgin American oak casks, it is bottled at 46% abv and is free from chill filtration with natural colour. A sophisticated and well-balanced single malt from the Scottish Whisky Distillery of the Year 2020. The nose arises scents of stoned fruits and caramel, leading to roasted nuts and aniseed. A touch of vanilla infused tea follows. On the palate, flavours of New York cheesecake, soft pears and spicy cocoa. To finish, that vanilla essence goes on and on.
