The lenses contain light sensitive molecules that change shape and colour when ultraviolet rays strikes them. The lenses will begin to lighten as soon as they are away from UV light, gradually returning to their original state. The lenses will start at a filter Category 2 light amber that will then \u201Cswitch\u201D to a filter Category 3 dark brown dependant on exposure to sunlight.
