Everbuild Everflex AC95 is a product that can be used for both sealing and bonding purposes in various construction and insulation projects. It is a water-based, solvent-free, non-flammable paste that can adhere to most building and decorating materials. Key Features: It forms a fire rated acoustic barrier that can resist fire for up to 4 hours, according to the EN1366-4:2006 standard. This means that it can prevent the spread of fire and noise through gaps and cracks in walls, floors and ceilings. Acoustic sealant is acts like a putty, as it does not solidy completely, permanently flexible and has high grab, which means that it can accommodate movement and vibration without cracking or losing adhesion. It is mould resistant, which means that it can prevent the growth of fungi and bacteria that can cause health problems and damage the surfaces. It is easy to clean up with a damp cloth within 30 minutes of application, which means that it does not leave any stains or residues. Everbuild Everflex can be used as an adhesive to bond plasterboard and other kraft lined insulation boards to various substrates, such as wood, metal, block work, etc. It can also be used as a sealant to fill gaps between plasterboard and dry lining applications. Applications: Achieve an acoustic and intumescent barrier by effectively sealing gaps between acoustic plasterboards, further improving acoustic barrier walls, floors, and ceilings, particularly in dry lining applications. For sealing and bonding most other kraft lined insulation boards. Used to install rigid soundproofing materials Securely attach plasterboard to wood and metal studding, even directly to blockwork, ensuring stability and durability in your construction projects. To use this product, you need to follow these steps: Prepare the surfaces by cleaning them and removing any loose or flaking materials. If the surfaces are highly porous, such as new plaster, you need to prime them with Everbuild 501 PVA Bond diluted 1:4 with water. Fit the cartridge into a 1 L mastic gun. Cut the nozzle to the required size and puncture the inner membrane seal before applying. If you want to use it as a sealant, apply it slightly overfilling the gap and smooth it with a tool or a knife. If you want to use it as an adhesive for direct bonding to large surfaces, apply a continuous bead of 9-10 mm diameter at 250-350 mm centres to one surface and press the board firmly into place. If you want to use it as an adhesive for bonding to studding, apply a continuous bead to the studding and press the board immediately into position. Do not apply more than one boardandrsquo;s width of studding at a time. Provide temporary support until the product is cured. The curing time, ususllay 24 hrs, though it depends on the thickness, temperature and humidity of the environment. It can take from 1 to 5 days. The product is tack free in 15 to 60 minutes. This product has some limitations that you need to be aware of: It should not be used in contact with bituminous materials, as they can cause discoloration and degradation of the product. It should not be used in damp or humid conditions, as they can significantly extend the curing time and affect the performance of the product. It has low movement capability (+/- 5 %), which means that it cannot cope with large or dynamic movements of the substrates. It has fair chemical resistance to dilute acids and alkaline solutions, but poor resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons, which means that it can be damaged by some chemicals or solvents. It has a service temperature range of -15 degree celcius to +70 degree celcius, which means that it cannot withstand extreme temperatures. This product is approved and tested by various standards and authorities, such as: Warrington Fire Research, which tested its fire rating according to EN1366-4:2006. ISO 140-3, which tested its acoustic rating. EN13141-1, which tested its air permeability. EN13963, which tested its type 4a classification. This product is available in white color and comes in 900 mL cardboard cartridges. It has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture and should be stored in cool dry conditions away from frost. It has a density of 1.6-1.65 g/cmandsup3; and a solid content of ca. 80 %. It has a Shore A hardness of approximately 40.
