Finerfilters 20" x 4.5" Jumbo GAC/KDF Water FilterFilter cartridge with activated coconut shell carbon and non-woven polypropylene material, removes chlorine and organic compounds (KDF filtration). Ideal as a filter in HMA, whole house or reverse osmosis filtration.KDF process media works to reduce or remove chlorine, iron, hydrogen sulphide, lead, mercury, calcium carbonate, magnesium, chromium, bacteria, algae and fungi. The media removes up to 98% of water-soluble cations (positively-charged ions) of lead, mercury, copper, nickel, chromium and other dissolved metals. In most cases, more than 98% of chlorine is removed if operated within recommended flow rates.Ensure the water is flushed through for 5 minutes to clear any loose particles and carbon fines. Do not use with water which is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality. Use in cold water applications only.
