Couture White Sugarpaste
Couture
Professional quality, at an everyday price, Couture Sugarpaste has secured its enviable reputation of producing high-quality finishes at an affordable price. Please note, due to cold weather conditions, this item may arrive harder than usual. To soften, let the sugarpaste sit at room temperature to soften before use. Why we love Couture: Smooth, porcelain-like finish, thanks to the ultra-fine icing sugar Sharp edges, even on taller cake tiers Can be rolled thinner than other sugarpaste brands Colours seamlessly No tears or cracks Perfect for panelling Can be used in moulds Works well in hot, humid climates Free from titanium dioxide (E171) Halal Certified Kosher Certified Suitable for Vegetarians & Vegans Allergen Free PREPARATION:It is important to knead well before use to activate the gums for best performance - the ultra-fine icing sugar creates a 'dense' paste which, in cooler weather, may feel difficult to knead. For best results, we recommend warming in a microwave for 10 seconds prior to kneading. Couture can also be used as a modelling paste - just add tylo powder. The natural oils often rise to the surface of the paste and therefore must be kneaded well to mix these oils and activate the gum for top performance. Available in 1kg, 2.5kg and 7kg. Please be aware that 7kg tubs may be at risk of damage during the courier process. Please note: Due to the unique properties of the sugarpaste, you may notice that it becomes harder in colder temperatures. Please be assured that this change in texture is unavoidable and is a natural reaction to the surrounding environment. We understand the importance of providing you with the highest quality products, and we want to ensure you are well informed about any potential changes you may observe. Here are a few tips to help you manage the sugarpaste during cold weather: 1. Allow for acclimation: If your sugarpaste has been exposed to cold temperatures, allow it some time to acclimate to room temperature before use. This will help restore its original consistency. 2. Keading: Gently knead the sugarpaste to soften it. Applying a bit of warmth through your hands can help bring back its pliability. 3. Microwave caution: While it is possible to use a microwave for a few seconds to soften the sugarpaste, exercise caution to avoid overheating. Short intervals with frequent checks are recommended. 4. Storage considerations: Store the sugarpaste in a cool, dry place, but be mindful of cold conditions. If possible, bring the sugarpaste to room temperature before use.
