Inspired by the European concept of table wine, The Leith Export Co.'s Table Whisky is an approachable, unassuming dram intended to be shared and enjoyed on any occasion, particularly where food is offered. It's built on the light body and clean flavours of a grain whisky, distilled by North British Distillery in Edinburgh and nicely enriched through virgin oak and oloroso sherry cask maturation. Lots of sweet notes on both nose and palate, running the gamut from fresh and delicate to rich and indulgent: berry fruit, meringues, toffee, vanilla pastry cream and gingerbread. The finish is clean, with delicate spice. Bottled at 43% abv, non-chill filtered and natural colour.
