It turns bulky food cans and plastic bottles into a shadow of their former selves, so you can fit even more in your recycling. Strongly made from steel, it’s designed to crush food cans – even tough steel ones – with the least possible amount of pressure, and will make light work of flattening plastic bottles too – all the way up to the big 2 litre pop bottles. Just place it on the floor, unhook the side to release the top ‘arm’, slip in your tin or bottle, and press down on the little footplate to turn out recycling-ready waste. Two padded strips on the base protect your kitchen or utility room floor, but it’s tough enough to be used outside next to your recycling bins too if you want.
