The Atom Caution Safety Notice Hot Water Labels are adhesive and designed to be placed on outlets where the water drawn carries a risk of scolding. Following the discovery of Legionnaires disease, a potentially fatal type of pneumionia caused by inhaling airbourne water droplets containing Legionella Bacteria, owners of commercial premises are recommended to maintain stored hot water temperatures above 60C to stop production of said bacteria. Due to the tempature that the water is stored at, there is a risk of scalding and users require to be informed of this. This is done by affixing this label to the appliance.
