Suffolk Latch Antique Black Fleur De Lys Thumb Latch Cast Iron - Indoor/Outdoor - 45mm. IDEAL FOR GATES DOORS OUTDOORS OR INDOORS. ANTIQUE FLEUR DE LYS DESIGN. SOLID CAST IRON WITH EPOXY BLACK COATING. A traditional thumb latch commonly used to keep doors and gates closed. Allowing access from either side of the door or gate, the Suffolk latch, originating in Suffolk (hence the name and rumoured to be named by architectural draughtsman William Twopenny), is often seen on internal doors within cottages for the 'olde world' look. Ideal for ledged and braced doors and gates up to a max of 45mm thick. Suitable for doors or gates up to 45mm thick.
