This is a topographical postcard featuring the bust of Jonathan Swift at St Patrick's Cathedral. The front of the postcard displays the bust, along with his epitaph in both Latin and English, noting his passing on the 19th day of October, 1745 A.D. aged 78 years. The bust itself is identified as \""THE GIFT OF F. FAULKNER ESQ\"".\n\nThe reverse side of the postcard provides additional details, stating \""St Patrick's Cathedral\"" at the top. It further explains that Jonathan Swift, the great writer and satirist, was dean of St Patrick's from 1713-1745 and wrote his own epitaph. The marble bust was executed by Patrick Cunningham for George Faulkner and presented to the cathedral in 1776 by Faulkner's nephew.
