It's the magical light which bathes the village of Oia, on the Greek island of Santorini, each night and its lights at varying heights - evoking the magnificent starry sky - which inspired the OYA lamp collection. Belgian stylist Sophie Casier chose to work with ceramic in shades that evoke small-town lights and immaculately white walls. The rounded and organic shapes are sensual. The base is topped with a lampshade in natural raffia or beige fabric. Sophie Casier is passionate about materials, any material: wood, leather, brass, bronze, aluminium, ceramic, organic materials, etc. Yet one aspect systematically catches her attention: the light itself.
