What is Tropica Limnophila sessiliflora?Tropica Limnophila sessiliflora (sometimes called Ambulia) is a pretty and undemanding plant from south-east Asia. It is often considered a great alternative to Cabomba, which has a very high light demand, as it is a lot easier. The stems grow fast up to 40 cm tall and become 3-4 cm wide taking only a couple of weeks to go from a small stem origin to several fully grown aquarium plants. This good and undemanding plant is available in either a grown on rooted plant or as a smaller mini pot that is grown in a coconut fibre casing, which can be planted directly into your tank. How do you care for Tropica Limnophila sessiliflora? With a medium light demand, the plant often grows leggy in poor light, but this can be counteracted to some extent by stimulating growth with CO2 addition if you're looking for a good alternative to aquarium lighting. Tropica Limnophila sessiliflora is most beautiful when planted in groups, forming large bushes. In good growing conditions, it sends out runners and spreads across the bottom. Cut-off shoots may be planted in the bottom layer, where they will form new roots and continue growing.
