ALL such remotes are tested and even if fully working the remote is disassembled and the case, keypad and associated components thoroughly cleaned using a water based degreaser. Battery terminals are cleaned to remove oxide or corrosion if present. Contact pads under the keypad buttons are cleaned as is the circuit board using a solvent to remove any contamination which may affect long-term use. The remote is then reassembled and tested to ensure full functionality.\nNOTES ON HYGIENE!
