Poetic and organic, the Strand lamp is the result of work on materials, form and volume. The Lampshade is made from a cocoon resin sprayed onto a thin steel frame. This surprising, almost organic material evokes the lightness of a frozen fabric, the warm texture of paper, the crysalide of a butterfly in the making.Transparent steel frames form delicate vertical geometric patterns. The fibrous, translucent material filters light for warm, comfortable illumination. When illuminated, the Strand Lamp creates a chimerical atmosphere with real emotional power. The Strand Lamp provides both diffused and direct lighting through its top and bottom openings. The spherical shape is simple, natural and organic.
