Poetic and organic, the Strand lamp is the result of work on materials, form and volume. The Lampshade is made from a cocoon resin sprayed onto a thin steel frame. This surprising, almost organic material evokes the lightness of a frozen fabric, the warm texture of paper, the crysalide of a butterfly in the making.Transparent steel frames form delicate vertical geometric patterns. The fibrous, translucent material filters light for warm, comfortable illumination. When illuminated, the Strand Lamp creates a chimerical atmosphere with real emotional power. The Strand Lamp provides both diffused and direct lighting through its top and bottom openings. The spherical shape is simple, natural and organic. This soft, evanescent form graces the space with its pure, original presence.
