Launched in 2011, this extendable dining table is a natural evolution of the iconic DK3 plank table. Designed by Jacob Plejdrup, it features whole solid wood planks with hand-sanded natural edges, emphasizing a harmonious blend of wild wood and minimalist aesthetics. The robust steel construction supports the uniquely shaped wooden planks, each bearing nature's own characteristics like knots and unique grain patterns. Each table is crafted from two whole planks taken from the same tree, ensuring a cohesive and visually striking piece. The natural edges are carefully sanded by hand, and every table is individually numbered with a discreet plate to guarantee authenticity. This dining table can be extended with one or two additional leaves (sold separately) made of matching wood or black MDF, each adding 50cm to the length for versatile seating arrangements.
