The PH 5 Pastels series sees the light of day in 2022, with monochrome pastel colors, as well as two pastel combinations tailored to the latest interior trends. This Pendant produces comfortable, glare-free light by applying the principle of Poul Henningsen's reflective Lampshade assembly, which directs most of the light downwards. It produces light directed to the sides while lighting itself, with soft illumination from its center. The lower Lampshade features an internal frosted glass diffuser for 100% glare-free downlighting. Designed by Poul Henningsen, the PH Pendant was first presented at Copenhagen's Art & Design Museum in 1958. A true icon of Scandinavian design, it is one of the best-selling pendant lamps in Denmark. In search of the perfect light, Poul Henningsen designed the PH collection of luminaires to be as close as possible to Natural light. These lamps are encircled by metal Lampshades that act as reflectors, guaranteeing soft, glare-free, diffused light. Pendant lamps diffuse light comfortably and efficiently, mainly downwards, but also more subtly to the sides. The design makes it impossible to see the light source directly, making it totally glare-free. It can be hung fairly low over a dinner table, or suspended in the middle of the room in a higher position. It can be equipped with high luminous power, while remaining comfortable to the eye. This Pendant features three spherical Lampshades mounted on a cone.
