A cult design object, the Lamp PH is back in a portable version. This cordless lamp is a true nomad: rechargeable, it can be moved anywhere, indoors or out (IP44). This portable lamp is an exact replica, albeit reduced in size, of its big sister, the PH 3/2 lamp, created in 1927 by Danish designer Poul Henningsen, an emblematic figure in Danish cultural life during the two world wars. From the 1920s onwards, Poul Henningsen sought perfection of light, almost scientifically designing lamps with a soft, comfortable light. He designed lamps with 3 superimposed shades: the famous System PH collection, which won the Gold Medal at the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs & Industriels Modernes in Paris in 1925. The superimposed Lampshades act as reflectors, directing most of the light downwards. This system guarantees diffused, soft, glare-free light. Even today, Lamp PH lamps are found in almost every second Danish home. The Lampshades of the PH 2/1 are made of 3 layers of Blown glass. This Wireless rechargeable lamp has an integrated LED source and its brightness can be adjusted using the dimmer on the base.
