It was widely tested by units of United States Army Europe (USAREUR) based in West Germany. The scheme was used through late 1980s (and in some cases well into the 2000s).\n\nThe Dual Texture Gradient Patter or \""DUALTEX\"" camouflage was another experimental scheme, tested between 1978 and 1985 on vehicles of 2nd (US) Armoured Cavalry Regiment deployed along inner German border.
