The sensor also prevents the light from activating when there is sufficient ambient light available. The built-in solar panel charges a li-ion battery during the day to provide power to the LED at night.\n\nAutomatic operation\n\nFor the first 5 hours each night (or until the battery has discharged to 30%) the light will be on at a low illumination level. When motion is detected full brightness is produced.
