IBG Models 1/72 Cromwell Mk IV\n\nBritish Cruiser Tank\n\n20mm Scale\n\nNew, sealed and unbuilt. \n\nRef No : IBG72102\n\nA stunning example of a Cromwell Mk IV much used by the Allied armoured divisions in North West Europe in 1944 and 1945. \n\nThe Cromwell was issued to armoured divisions in readiness for the invasion of Europe. While the Sherman remained the workhorse of the British armoured division, the Cromwells were fast and mobile and used largely in a reconassaince role. \n\nIt was designed to be fitted with a high velocity QF 6 pounder anti tank gun but this was replaced by the dual purpose 75MM which fired more effective HE. Ultimately the QF 75mm was developed as a 6 Pounder that fired US 75mm ammunition. Mk IV Cromwells were fitted with this from November 1943.\n\nWhether for wargaming or just building for display this brand new kit is a beauty.
