IBG Models 1/72 Daimler Mk I 'SOD'\n\nBritish Armoured Command Car\n\n20mm Scale\n\nNew, sealed and unbuilt. \n\nRef No : IBG72144\n\nThe Daimler armoured car replaced the British Humber and was used extensively in the North Western Europe campain in 1944. Its design was a larger version of the Dingo. Normally it was armed with the British QF 2 pounder and a coaxial 7.92 Besa Machine gun. However, the SOD, Sawn Off Daimler, was a turretless Regimental command car used in 1944-45 to make up for a lack of available scout cars. \n\nFrom Normandy to Berlin, the Daimler was at the head of the armoured divisions in a reconnassaince role. Frequently shot up and depending on speed and quick wits to survive, the Daimler crews were legendary and saved thousands of lives. \n\nWhether for wargaming or just building for display this brand new kit is a beauty.
