From the Alexandrion Saber 1789 Distillery near the Carpathian Mountains, Carpathian Oloroso Single Malt Romanian Whisky is distilled, matured and bottled in Romania. This single malt is made with 100% malted barley produced in Romania and sub-Carpathian water, then bottled at 40% ABV. Part of the Spanish and Portuguese Cask Collection, it is double distilled and matured first in a charred first-fill ex-Kentucky bourbon cask of white American oak before transfer to a hand-selected 500-litre Spanish Oloroso cask sourced directly from the bodega in Spain. Under the stewardship of master distiller Allan Anderson, it offers a layered profile shaped by bourbon and Oloroso cask maturation.
