Bokenhoutskloof has been producing globally renowned wines for 30 years, and this is their most exciting launch since The Chocolate Block in 2003. A multi-regional blend, it showcases the very best of Boekenhoutskloof’s white wine vineyards in three different wine growing regions. The backbone of the wine is Chenin Blanc, from Goldmine Farm in the heart of the Swartland. This region, known for its harsh Mediterranean climate, and ancient soils also supplies the touch of Viognier. The Semillon component comes from Franschhoek, and is grown in the same block as the ancient bush-vines that have made the Boekenhoutskloof Semillon famous. The cool climate Chardonnay component comes from the Cap Maritime farm in the globally renowned Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. It's full of aromas of quince, poached pear, nectarine, and apple. The stone fruit and citrus follow through to a lively and complex palate. Zesty lime, white peach and hints of orange marmalade linger onto a clean, mineral finish. Try it with white meats or seared scallops.
