His famous glass birds are highly prized by art collectors. Oiva Toikka enjoys a successful international career and has received numerous awards and accolades. Originally designed by Oiva Toikka in 1964, the Kastehelmi series was relaunched in 2010. Iconic collection of Iittala, its timeless design has survived the decades without ageing one bit. Kastehelmi (dewdrop in Finnish) is inspired by dewdrops that shimmer like a string of pearls in the morning sun.
