Foreart 1/72 M24 Chaffee\n\nUS Light Tank\n\n20mm Scale\n\nBrand new, unbuilt and unpainted model kit.\n\nRef No :FOR2003\n\nThe US M24 Chaffee light tank saw service late on in WWII as well during subsequent conflicts in Korea and Vietnam. \n\nThe M24 was designed to replace the ageing M5 light tank and entered service in late 1944 being pressed into action during the Battle of The Bulge. The M24 was a fast, mobile light tank but armed with the same standard 75mm M6 gun as the Sherman. Whilst by the end of the war, this was no match for the German Panthers and Tigers, it was an improvement on the 37mm on the M5. The secondary armament was a 0.5cal Browning and two 0.3cal Brownings. \n\nDepsite not playing much of a part in WWII, the M24 went on to serve in Korea and even as late as Vietnam with the South Vietnamese. \n\nFast, lightly armoured and lightly armed the Chaffee was best suited for reconnaissaince and infantry support roles and was popular with its crews.\n\nThe M24 chassig
