Prevents backflow - comes with full instructions. When you connect the drain to the waste system you must protect the Water Softener and the water supply from backflow. A standard clamp arrangement can be fitted to the waste pipe (1 1/4" or 1 1/2") The whole thing only stands 200mm (8") tall and can almost always be fitted under the kitchen sink. Please note that the low flow option can only handle a flow rate up to 1.6 l/min and this isn't high enough for some softeners. The High flow kits have a larger extension piece that increases the length of the standpipe.
