2631 Olive bit for horse Stübben Level 3The olive bit is characterized by a fixed ring. The sides should be about one centimetre closer to the corners of the mouth compared to a loose ring bit. The olive bit prevents the corners of the mouth from being pinched by the rings. The horse cannot lift the bit with its tongue, so the mouthpiece stays calmer in the mouth and is a bit more stabilised laterally. Since the ring does not turn, there is a slightly more direct action with a small effect on the withers. However, the difference from a loose ring bit is hardly noticeable for the horse or most riders. The double-jointed mouthpiece Level 3 distributes pressure more directly on the tongue and bars. The olive bit offers slight stabilisation and lateral guidance, creating calmness and stability in the horse's mouth.
