\u201CLa donna della domenica\u201D (Sunday Woman) is a 1975 giallo movie, an Italian/French co-production directed by Luigi Comencini and starring Marcello Mastroianni, Jacqueline Bisset and Jean-Louis Trintignant.\nThe soundtrack of this film, composed, orchestrated and directed by Ennio Morricone, enjoys the typical elements of the Maestro\u2019s style, and mainly consists of a beautiful leading theme and various variations, alternating with more intense moments, perfect for a detective film, evoking the atmosphere of \u201CIndagine su un cittadino al di sopra di ogni sospetto\u201D (Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion) or \u201CMilano odia: la polizia non pu\u00F2 sparare\u201D (Almost Human), two films for which Morricone himself wrote the soundtrack a few years earlier. Mystery, tension and melancholy are the main features of this excellent work.\nAt the time, only a single 45rpm was released for \u201CLa donna della domenica\u201D, including the main theme and \u201CTor.
