Born from eight centuries of the Frescobaldi family's bond with Tuscany, the Nipozzano Chianti Rufina Riserva 2021 is a profound expression of the prestigious Chianti Rufina DOCG. This Sangiovese-led blend from one of Chianti's highest altitude zones offers intense ruby red colour with violet reflections. Its complex, vibrant bouquet unfolds with layers of fresh black cherry, raspberry, blueberry, and red currant, entwined with citrus peel, violet, and spicy notes of black pepper, cloves, and star anise.The palate is harmonious and full-bodied, marked by a refreshing acidity and dense, silky tannins that carry concentrated dark berry and spice flavors to a long, sapid finish. Perfectly paired with robust Tuscan fare such as grilled red meats, game, stews, and aged Pecorino cheese. Decant 30-60 minutes before serving at 16-18°C. This wine boasts excellent aging potential, with a drinking window extending to 2030 and beyond. Alcohol 13.5% vol. Contains sulphites.
