From Castello Banfi, the Banfi SummuS 2020 is a red wine from the estate in the southern part of Montalcino, where stony, calcareous soils are described as well-structured and well-drained. Crafted with care and patience, the three varieties are vinified separately before being brought together through a considered ageing programme designed to build depth and balance. In the glass, it shows an intense, deep red colour. The bouquet conveys sweet, fruity aromas of cherries and plums, integrated with notes of vanilla and liquorice.
