Flexible ducted or recirculating installation The Smeg KBT600BL cooker hood can be installed for either ducting or recirculating operation, allowing you to select the most suitable setup for your kitchen. Ducted extraction provides optimum removal of cooking fumes by venting air outside. A compatible vent kit is required and is available separately. This cooker hood has a 150mm vent outlet and can be used with the following optional accessories: SP150 – Simple vent kit for hoods with a 150mm diameter vent outlet. SP150FLAT – Comprehensive vent kit for hoods with a 150mm diameter vent outlet. Recirculating operation draws in cooking fumes and passes them through active charcoal filters, available separately, before returning cleaned air to the room. Please refer to the accessories tab in the hood specification to identify the required charcoal filter. Intensive extraction for stronger cooking odours When quick and powerful extraction is needed, the intensive speed setting helps remove strong cooking odours efficiently. It is ideal for occasions such as preparing a sizzling stir fry or an aromatic curry. 24-hour air exchange function The 24-hour air exchange function runs the hood for 10 minutes every hour at a very low speed. This low-noise operation helps purify household air over a total period of 24 hours, with a low energy impact. Long-lasting LED lighting Integrated LED lighting provides clear illumination across the work surface below. The lights are long-lasting and energy-saving, and can be switched on independently of the fan for practical task lighting or ambient kitchen lighting. Automatic switch-off A dedicated automatic switch-off setting turns off both the extraction and lighting after a predefined time.
