BARBERA, THE QUEEN OF PIEDMONT - Barbera d’Asti DOCG Superiore is made exclusively from Barbera grapes, one of the most iconic varieties of the Piedmontese terroir. It is the dominant grape of Ricossa’s Tenuta Ca’ dei Mandorli in Castel Boglione, in the heart of Monferrato Astigiano. AGED IN WOOD - Aged for about 14 months, including 6 months in wood. This maturation adds structure, elegance, and depth, enhanced by the calcareous, clay, and tuff soils of its origin. ELEGANT AND INTENSE - Deep ruby-red color with violet reflections. The bouquet is refined and distinctive, offering balsamic, fruity, and spicy notes. On the palate, it is intense, smooth, and persistent, with a rich, enveloping finish. TYPICAL PAIRINGS - Perfect with traditional Piedmontese cuisine, particularly agnolotti, braised meats, or boiled beef. Serve at 16–18°C.
