In the midst of an industrial and cultural revolution, Aulenti imagined a Lamp that was organic, moving and alive - against the grain of prevailing straight lines. Its undulating Lampshade, inspired by the flight of a bat (pipistrello in Italian), and its innovative telescopic Base, legs reflect a bold vision of design: free, feminine, architectural. A soft yet radical Italian signature The Mat white finish enhances the object's formal sensuality.Painted aluminum,satin-finish steel and satin-finish methacrylate create a visually sober yet powerfully expressive whole.
