The heart of the 1x Ekar GT system, with its chainring options that cover an entire range of uses. Single chainrings are obviously simple to use: no front derailleur, considerably less weight, fewer moving components that gather dirt and may cause blockages and better chain security with no useless overlapping chainrings - the perfect solution for gravel. The two aluminum cranks are fitted with semi axles in AISI 630 steel, in line with the clever material combinations of the entire Ekar GT groupset, with a view to producing components that are always light but deliver maximum efficiency and durability. New ProTech technology joins the two semi axles inside the bottom bracket, with a single sturdy screw. The oversize stainless steel bearing race is on the crank, fitted onto the semi axle for maximum smoothness and resistance - and to make it easy to access for inspection and maintenance without having to dismantle the cups. There are five chainring options available: 36T, 38T, 40T, 42...
