A design legend reissued in a nomadic version.The iconic Uovo lamp, designed in 1972 by Dutch designer Ben Swildens, is now available in a cordless, rechargeable version for indoor and outdoor use. Emblematic of 1970s design, the Uovo lamp is a classic from the Fontana Arte publishing house. Its ovoid shape is pure and astonishing. This curved, Natural shape is a timeless symbol of perfection, in which symmetry and asymmetry coexist harmoniously. Like a luminous sculpture, Uovo occupies space with its fascinating, modern presence. Thanks to its Lacquered metal base, the Uovo Lamp is stable. The diffuser is made of white satin-finish blown glass: the smooth, tactile surface appeals to the eye as much as to the hand. Made in Italy, the Uovo Lamp illustrates the expertise of Fontana Arte's master glassmakers. Equipped with an LED source, the Uovo Lamp diffuses a soothing, warm and uniform light. The Lamp is powered by an 8-hour rechargeable battery, recharged via the included USB cable. A transparent touch button turns the lamp on and off, and adjusts the light intensity.
