Fine grit side (220): defines, outlines and shapes nails. Information about the grain: the grit number indicates the grain size of the file. A high number (280-220) means fine grit for light filing. A low number (120-180) indicates coarse grit for shortening or initial filing. Instructions for use: initial filing: if you need to shorten your nails, start with the coarse grit side (180). File following the natural shape of your nails and always in the same direction. Define the shape: use the fine grit side (220) to shape your nails: square tip: hold the file perpendicular and straight.
