If your project needs to be filled with thick batting, you can stack two layers of batting together. It came with a few spots on it,which are the scraps of cotton leaves. There is a smell of cotton, not a musty smell. Based on customer feedback, the batting has been upgraded.In order to make the batting have a tensile force, a layer of scrim is added. Please do not use for hot pads in microwave ovens as there is a layer of scrim.
